Hotel lobbies you can actually work from in Las Vegas, at any hour

The off-Strip resorts are open all night and built for people who drive in. Which lobbies and casino spots on our map work for a laptop, what we know about each, and where to find a table after midnight.

By Gavin Basuel · · 9 spots · How we check spots

People ask where to work in Vegas and get sent to a Strip lobby. That works if you're already staying there. If you live here, or you're driving around between meetings, the Strip is the hardest place in town to park and set up a laptop.

The locals casinos are the better bet. They're built for people who drive in, the buildings never close, and there's seating that isn't a slot stool. Below is what we actually have on file for each one, plus two cafés for when you'd rather not work in a casino at 1am.

Open 24 hours

Three spots on our map post 24-hour hours. That's the building, not a promise that the lounge seating is open at 4am, but you're not getting locked out.

JW Marriott, Summerlin

The JW is on Rampart near Tivoli Village. Kaity from @workfromvegas called it free workspace and gave it a "100/10," which is about as strong as reviews get on this site. We don't have Wi-Fi or outlet notes for it yet, so come charged.

Durango, southwest

Durango is right off the 215 at Durango Drive. @workfromvegas noted free Wi-Fi, comfortable seating and Vesta Coffee nearby, and the food hall means lunch without moving the car.

In the same building is Bel-Aire Lounge, one of my favorites. It's a cocktail lounge on the casino floor, so it's 21+. It opens at 4pm on weekdays and 11am on weekends. Get there early. By evening there are DJs and live music, and it's not a work spot anymore.

Green Valley Ranch, Henderson

Green Valley Ranch is on Paseo Verde. Lobby and lounge seating, and the deal is the usual one: buy a drink. Weekday daytime is the quiet window, before the lounges pick up in the evening. Nobody has confirmed outlets here yet, so treat it as a full-battery stop.

Daytime only: Red Rock's pool

The pool at Red Rock, out on Charleston at the 215, runs 10am to 5pm. @workfromvegas rated the Wi-Fi 10 out of 10 and the noise a 4, and said to bring headphones. You're working outside next to a pool in Summerlin, so in summer, plan around the heat.

Near the Strip

Aria and the Cosmopolitan both have lobbies that work for a short session on hotel Wi-Fi. Policies vary. Buy something, keep your stuff to one seat, and don't plan on camping all day. It's fine for an hour between things.

East of the Strip on Paradise, Kassi Beach House at Virgin Hotels is a pool-view lunch spot that @workfromvegas ended up working through. Wi-Fi is OK, the music is louder, there's usually no outlet near your seat, and parking is free.

After midnight

Lobbies stay open, but sometimes you want an actual table. Two cafés on our map go late every night.

Pop Café on Spring Mountain in Chinatown posts 10am to 3am, seven days. Reviews mention the Wi-Fi, booths with outlets and a study crowd, and @workfromvegas called the inside quiet and cozy. It fills up by mid-afternoon.

Madhouse Coffee on Desert Inn, on the west side, is open 5:30am to midnight. Eater lists it as a late-night, on-deadline spot. Ask for the Wi-Fi password, and sit at the bar if you need to plug in.

A few ground rules

  • Buy something. A lobby isn't a coworking space, and a drink is the rent.
  • Come charged. Casino outlets are hit or miss, and we only list outlets where someone confirmed them.
  • Take calls somewhere else. Between the slots and the music, a casino lounge is a bad place for a call.
  • Check hours before you drive. Ours come from posted hours, and those change.

Every spot above has its own page with the address, the hours we have and where each fact came from. If one of these has changed, let us know.

At a glance

From each spot's listing: posted hours and the work facts we have a source for. “Not checked” means nobody has confirmed it yet.

Questions people ask

Can you work from a Las Vegas hotel lobby without staying there?

At the off-Strip resorts on our map, yes, as long as you buy something and don't take over a table all day. Policies vary by property, especially on the Strip, where lobbies work best for short sessions.

Where can I work in Las Vegas after midnight?

The JW Marriott in Summerlin, Durango in the southwest and Green Valley Ranch in Henderson all post 24-hour hours. For a café table, Pop Café on Spring Mountain is open until 3am and Madhouse Coffee on Desert Inn until midnight.

Which Las Vegas casino lobbies have free Wi-Fi?

From @workfromvegas notes, Durango's lobby and food hall and the pool at Red Rock both have free Wi-Fi. We don't have Wi-Fi confirmed at the JW Marriott or Green Valley Ranch yet.
